A Season in the Citrus Grove
By Mira Solano, Head Grower
The grove predates the resort by nearly a century — bitter orange and lemon trees planted by the family who first farmed this terrace. We've added blood orange and a small kumquat block, but the oldest trees still bear the most fruit.
Harvest begins in late October with the bitter oranges, which go almost entirely to the bar for cordials and the spa for its citrus oil treatments. Lemons run from December through March.
Every guest who books a Grove Residence receives a basket left at the door each morning, picked that same hour. It's the only thing on the property we don't allow the kitchen to plate first.
